Voice Moderation - explained
This pertains to an alpha feature. Read notes to know more
The Profanity Blocker Discord bot can be instructed to listen to audio channels using /monitor_voice slash command.
It will then transcribe and send the text to our filter backend. Offensive content will be posted about in the server's system channel.
It'll also trigger "If profanity is detected" rules if you setup such a rule in AutoMod (IFTTPB).
Limits
Currently audio capture is available for all server plans as we let users test it. However, it should be noted that speech transcribing will use your filter request quota, and processing will stop if you reach your quota and your channels will be unprotected.
We cannot claim transcription will be perfect - audio processing can be picky.
We care about user privacy, therefore all audio processing is done on our secure infrastructure, never stored or sent to third-parties.
While we experiment and roll out this feature, it will be incrementally improved based on user feedback. We also reserve the right to restrict/limit or entirely remove this feature while in alpha
