Gamification/Civility Ranking System - FAQ
What is the Civility Ranking System?
A: It's a fun way to encourage polite and respectful communication in our server. You earn points for clean messages and lose points for inappropriate language.
How do I earn points?
A: Every clean message you send earns you 1 point. Keep it friendly and watch your score grow!
Can I lose points?
A: Yes, using inappropriate language will cost you 2 points per message. It's best to keep things civil!
What are levels?
A: Levels represent your overall civility. They range from -3 to 9, with 0 being the starting point. Higher levels mean better civility!
How do I level up?
A: As you earn points, you'll automatically level up. Each level requires more points than the last.
Can I level down?
A: Yes, if your score drops low enough, you can level down. But don't worry, you can always improve!
What are titles?
A: Each level has a unique title, like "Friendly Newcomer" or "Eloquent Diplomat". They're a fun way to show off your civility rank!
What are Clean Message Streaks?
A: We track how many clean messages you've sent in the last 24 hours (24h streak) and in the last 7 days (7d streak). Keep those streaks going!
How can I check my stats?
A: Use the command "pb!mystats" to see your current score, level, title, and streaks.
Can I check someone else's stats?
A: Yes! Use "pb!checkstats @username" to see another user's civility stats.
Will everyone see when I level up or down?
A: Yes, both level-ups and level-downs are announced publicly. However, there's a cooldown on negative announcements to prevent excessive notifications for level-downs.
What's the highest level I can reach?
A: The highest level is 9, with the prestigious title "Transcendent Sage"!
Q13: What happens if I reach a negative level?
A: Negative levels (-1 to -3) mean you need improvement. You'll get a special "Improvement Needed" status to encourage better communication.
How often are my stats updated?
A: Your stats are updated in real-time with each message you send.
Do my stats reset after a certain time?
A: Your score and level persist over time, but your streaks reset if you don't send clean messages within their time frames (24 hours or 7 days).
Remember, the goal is to promote a friendly and respectful environment for everyone. Have fun and stay civil!
