Question

What's the aim the YouTube Moderation Integration?

Answer

Given that a lot of social media is not moderated for toxicity, and not every platform has enough human moderation resources, or automated systems, we thought it would be useful to bring that capability directly to the user to improve their audiences' channel experience.

Question

Is my data secure?

Answer

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest and deleted after 30 days, we only keep data for model training and false positive reporting, available in your ProfanityBlocker Dashboard.

You can also check out our Privacy Policy.

If you're particularly concerned, you may exclude sites from being scanned in the extensions options page.

Question

Any API limits?

Answer

During development and Alpha stages we will have a 10K quota limit for YouTube's Data API.

Internally we track quota usage per channel and grants everyone 1K (subject to change) quota usage very 24 hours

Question

How does pricing work

Answer

Every channel will be given a service licence, usage policy per licence still remains:

For the free plan, 1 concurrent request, 200 hourly requests

Given the YouTube API Data quota limitations we may have to adjust our pricing to fit the YouTube platform.

For example:

  • Pricing tiers just for the YouTube Moderation integration with higher API quota limits per channel
  • Custom OAuth apps per licence

Question

What model do you recommend for my channel

Answer

We recommend using DeepSense filter. You can learn more about the filter here.

We recommend this because the web can have a lot of complex text , not necessarily in conversation format and can create more false positives (learn more about false positives and reporting here).
